Community – There is a vast unmet need to provide, prevention and intervention for youth and families within Southwest Fresno. These are individuals who live in the community but they don’t see, hear or have the knowledge of the vast opportunities and resources available. The diverse population and dismal economic conditions have created an environment of fragmentation among service providers and has not enabled residents to take full advantage of the resources in their own community.
Take A Stand Committee, alongside community partners will connect as a collaborative effort to provide monthly meetings for residents and provide them with valuable information regarding resources and services and making a real and noticeable impact in the lives of these youth and families by exposing them to options and opportunities which can make a difference in their future..

Communication That’s Constant, Open, and Honest. Your children should not only know that they can talk to you about anything; you have to be committed to broaching topics of concern and do so openly. Talk about your own experiences and fears when you were an adolescent.
